What is tax transcript software?
Tax transcript software is a tool that lets tax professionals retrieve IRS transcripts — account, wage and income, return, and record of account — for their authorized clients, then parse the raw transcript data into something you can actually work with: CSEDs, unfiled periods, balances, penalty stacks, compliance status, and resolution eligibility.
Done manually on IRS.gov Transcript Delivery System (TDS), pulling transcripts for one client across five years and three tax forms takes 15–30 minutes. Do that for 60 clients a month and you've lost a full work week to clicking through dropdowns and downloading PDFs that you then have to read line by line. Tax Resolution Hub collapses that into a single bulk pull and a structured view.
Why tax pros use transcript software
Bulk pulls, not one-at-a-time
Queue an entire client book. TRH pulls every transcript for every year and form in parallel, automatically respecting IRS rate limits.
CSED & balance analysis
Collection Statute Expiration Dates, tolling events, penalty-by-period breakdowns, and payoff projections — calculated from the transcript codes, not guessed.
Resolution eligibility
Offer in Compromise, installment agreement thresholds, Currently Not Collectible, First-Time Abate — flagged per client based on transcript facts.
Pre-filled 2848 / 8821
Generate IRS-compliant POAs in seconds, with correct line 3 ranges that don't trigger CAF rejections.
Notice monitoring
Detect new CP notices and transcript changes automatically — know the moment an IRS action hits a client's account.
Runs on your desktop
Client data never leaves your machine. No cloud vendor sees your transcripts, and your firm stays in control of its own CAF authorization.
Core features
- Bulk transcript retrieval via IRS TDS and the Application-to-Application (A2A) channel under your firm's CAF.
- Transcript parser for every TC (Transaction Code), DLN, cycle date, and assessment event — no hand-reading raw text.
- CSED calculator that handles the full tolling catalog (bankruptcy, OIC pending, CDP, installment, innocent spouse, military deferment, and more).
- Bulk POA generator for Forms 2848 and 8821 with auto-populated rep info and period ranges.
- Resolution analyzer covering OIC, IA, CNC, PPIA, First-Time Abate, and reasonable-cause penalty abatement.
- Client book & monitoring with automatic refresh and change alerts.
- IRS Notice decoder mapping CP and Letter numbers to plain-English explanations and next-step checklists. See our IRS transcript codes reference and knowledge base.
- Desktop-native — Windows 10 and 11, no browser, no subscription seat math.
How it works
- Sign up with your work email at taxhub-usa.com. We email you a license key and Windows installer link.
- Install Tax Resolution Hub on your Windows workstation and activate with the license key.
- Enroll in IRS A2A (one-time, through the IRS e-Services portal). TRH ships with an enrollment walkthrough.
- Import your client list or add clients individually. File a 2848 or 8821 for any client you don't already have authorized.
- Run a bulk pull. TRH requests every authorized transcript in parallel, typically completing a full firm in minutes.
- Review the parsed output. CSEDs, balances, compliance, and resolution candidates are ready for client meetings or written strategy.
Detailed setup is in Getting started, and form-specific walkthroughs are at Form 2848 and Form 8821.

IRS A2A & Transcript Delivery System
TRH retrieves transcripts through the IRS Application-to-Application (A2A) channel — the same authenticated path used by enterprise tax software. That means:
- Transcripts come back as structured data, not scraped HTML.
- Your firm's CAF authorization is the access credential — no scraping, no screen-automation of IRS.gov.
- Pulls are rate-limited by the IRS, and TRH's dispatcher respects those limits globally across your whole queue so you never trip a throttle.

FAQ
Is this the same as IRS Transcript Delivery System (TDS)?
No — TDS is the IRS system that serves transcripts. Tax Resolution Hub is the software that talks to TDS on your behalf, in bulk, and turns the responses into structured, analyzed data. You still need an IRS e-Services account and A2A enrollment to use TDS.
Do I need a 2848 or 8821 to pull transcripts?
Yes. The IRS only releases client transcripts to authorized representatives on file with CAF. Either form works for transcript retrieval; Form 8821 is lower-friction if you only need information and won't be negotiating. Compare them at 2848 vs 8821.
Is my client data sent to a cloud?
No. TRH is a desktop application. IRS traffic flows directly from your machine to the IRS A2A endpoint under your CAF credentials, and transcripts are stored locally. Nothing goes through a third-party server.
Does it work on Mac or iPad?
Currently Windows only. Most tax-pro workstations are Windows, and the IRS A2A integration is tightly tested there. A browser-based companion view is on the roadmap.
How is this different from free IRS.gov access?
IRS.gov TDS is free and works — but it's one client at a time, human-clicked, with no parsing. If you handle more than a handful of resolution or non-filer clients, the time cost of manual pulls quickly exceeds the cost of transcript software.
